Before retiring I was a solicitor in a local Family Practices for over 30 years. I am married to a fellow lawyer, now happily retired and have two sons, both of whom attended Ponthir Primary school. Between them they have produced, so far, four grandchildren who provide us with great joy and keep us on our toes!
I enjoy singing in various choirs, music in general, reading, yoga and my involvement as Churchwarden at All Saints Llanfrechfa and of course my commitment to Ponthir school.
When not enjoying these various activities we spend as much time as possible in our little Italian home where I attempt to practise my faltering Italian.
My name is Stacey and my son is currently in Year 2. When my son started in Reception in 2016, I quickly joined The Friends of Ponthir School, as I wanted to be able to help the school and support the staff in achieving the very best for the school. When a vacancy opened for Parent Governor in 2017, I saw this as an exciting opportunity to be able to enhance this support, making a valued contribution to both the school and to my son’s educational experience.
In my personal life, I am an Audit & Assurance Manager. I love planning and organising trips and activities for my family and friends. I enjoy travelling, especially skiing which is all the more fun now my son can join in too!
